Back at our home venue of Bello Bar for the second instalment of our 15th season,
this month will be a veritable cornucopia of poetry, traditional Irish and Swedish tunes, Persian classical and baroque song from a stellar line up of the very best musicians. Where else would you get it? Join us on Wednesday 3rd April at 8.30pm at Bello Bar, Dublin 8.
-The Iranian Coohe brothers are versatile and accomplished musicians who are trained in both Persian and Western classical music, for this special performance at Kaleidoscope they join forces with accordionist extraordinaire Martin Tourish, a rare outing for this unique trio!
-Neil Ó Lochlainn's Immram project is a setting for chamber ensemble, reciter and singer, of the Immram suite of poems written by Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill. This suite of music combines influences from the sean nós tradition, jazz/improvised music and contemporary chamber music to create an innovative style of contemporary Irish music rooted in the singing and dance music tradition of Ireland.
-For the first time to our stage we have violin virtuose duo Lucia Mac Partlin and Maria Ryan, sharing a love for classical and traditional repertoire the pair will take us through Irish and Swedish traditional music.
-Kaleidoscope Night’s featured artist for this season vocalist Michelle O’Rourke will make her first appearance this month collaboration with violinist Maria Ryan bringing us songs of Handel and Ravenscroft.
