Kaleidoscope Night
Music For Curious Ears
Bello Bar
Doors 8pm Music at 8.30pm
An evening of colour, sound and imagination awaits audiences this March as Kaleidoscope Night brings together some of Ireland’s most compelling musical voices for a richly layered celebration of art and music.
The acclaimed Hard Rain Soloist Ensemble, will be stopping by as part of their Peace Prospective Tour. Renowned for their fearless programming and commitment to contemporary repertoire, the ensemble will present works by Northern Irish composers, offering audiences a powerful reflection on place, identity and artistic dialogue. Their programme promises both intensity and lyricism, showcasing the vibrant compositional landscape of the North.
In a special collaborative exploration of paintings and music, we are delighted to welcome members of the Irish Baroque Orchestra — Kevin Meehan (violin) and Laoise McMullin (harpsichord) who will guide audiences through an evocative interplay between visual art and historically informed performance. This unique presentation invites listeners to experience the shared emotional language of brushstroke and bow.
Adding a dynamic and genre-defying dimension to the night, celebrated jazz double bassist Dave Redmond will take audiences on a musical adventure that highlights the extraordinary versatility of the double bass. From rhythmic drive to lyrical depth, Redmond’s performance will illuminate the instrument’s expressive range. Each piece unfolds in the moment, shaped by intuition, resonance, and space, inviting the listener into an intimate encounter with sound, risk, and musical storytelling.
